San Jose Police Department Officer Fatally Wounded

MOCO San Jose Officer

Officer Michael Johnson, a 14-year veteran San Jose police officer, was killed Tuesday while responding to an armed suicidal man.

We send our heartfelt condolences to the San Jose Police Department and to Officer Johnson's family and friends.

Tragedies like this not only affect the San Jose Police Department and the community it serves, but also the many members of law enforcement nationwide.

The Deputy Sheriff's Association of Monterey County was officially established in 1970. lts purpose was to represent the sworn personnel of the Sheriff's department during labor contract negotiations and grievance procedures. lt was and is, in theory and in fact, a labor union.
