The Monterey County Deputy Sheriff's Association represents the deputies, sergeants, and district attorney investigators throughout Monterey County.

The goal of the MOCODSA is to partner with the community and provide quality police service through community interaction, emphasizing the highest degree of cooperation, professionalism, and ethical behavior, and to create an atmosphere of safety and security.

    We support the many different communities, in Monterey County, through our charitable giving and the promotion of programs that enhance public safety.

    We emphatically believe in working together, alongside the community, to make Monterey County a safe place to live, work, visit, and raise children.

    The MOCODSA in conjunction with the administration of the Monterey County Sheriffs' Office ensures each member maintains the highest level of training, ethics and professionalism while serving as a member of the department.

    The association is governed by a board of directors. Members are elected to the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and three Director positions. Elections are held in October, and positions are held for a period of two years.
